The Army Physical Fitness Test (APFT) is a crucial component of the enlistment and continued service in the United States Army. 3. Two-Mile Run:

This event measures cardiovascular endurance and stamina. Soldiers must complete a two-mile run within a specified time limit. The time taken to complete the run directly impacts their score.

Scoring and Standards

Each event is scored individually, and the total score determines the overall APFT score. The scoring standards vary based on age and gender. Soldiers are categorized into age groups, and separate standards are set for males and females within each group. Failing to meet the minimum score in any event results in a failure of the entire APFT.
